Tick diseases are more serious than you think - 6 things you MUST know to prevent them from spreading in your family

I thought the risk of tick bites was just part of summer, until my friend shared something I hadn’t even considered.

It completely changed how we spent our summers and kept us bite-free for good.

Finally, I found a safe way to protect my kids and my older mother from the dangers of bites.

Here's why I never let my kids leave home without it.

Title

1: My friend missed a tick bite, and it ruined her whole summer

1: My friend missed a tick bite,
and it ruined her whole summer

It all started when my best friend told me what happened to her daughter.

One evening, they saw a red, swollen mark in her hair.

When they looked closer, they found a tick that had been there for a while, buried deep in the skin.

That same night, a fever started to rise, and they rushed to the hospital.

When they arrived, the doctor explained she had a tick-borne disease.

They were lucky to have caught it in time. The doctor explained that if they had waited for longer, it could have had consequences for life.

My friend told me she felt ashamed, knowing they could’ve covered her daughter’s arms and legs with long sleeves.

But on warm summer days, it’s really hard to get kids to wear that.

Since then, she said she hasn’t been able to relax when they’re outside.

And it only got worse...

2: The fear of diseases ruined every summer trip

The next coming months were something they never had experienced.

My best friend’s daughter had to stay in a hospital bed for the rest of the summer.

They couldn’t join us for anything. And after seeing what happened to them, I became anxious too.

Every time we went outside, I had to check my kids' legs for ticks every 30 minutes.

We couldn't relax outdoors anymore. Our peaceful summers were ruined.

I honestly thought things would never go back to normal for them, or for us.

But then one day, she called me, sharing something that I never expected…

3: The solution had two 100% natural ingredients

3: The solution had two
100% natural ingredients

She told me that the doctor had given them something amazing before they left the hospital.

He had explained that some plants have evolved to naturally repel ticks.

When these plants release their scent, ticks stay away because the plants have developed scents that repel all kinds of bugs, especially ticks.

Apparently, studies have shown these plant oils can reduce tick bites by over 96%.

He gave them a small pack of stickers with those same natural oils inside.

At first, my friend didn’t believe it would work.

She’d seen stickers online promising similar things before with little or no effect.

But when she confronted him about it, the doctor told her these had a stronger scent, so she gave them a try.

And looking back, it was one of the best decisions she ever made for her kids.

4: They walked in shorts without worrying about ticks

After speaking to my friend on the phone, I was happy she was hopeful.

But I knew how much it had traumatized her daughter.

That's why I was so surprised when my friend's entire family showed up in shorts!?

She looked so calm, like nothing had ever happened.

Turns out, she'd used the stickers the doctor had given her.

She first tested them by putting one on each of her daughter’s legs and two on her clothes before school.

Even though her daughter played outside in tall grass all day, she came home without a single bite.

Plus, the stickers were still on, even after playing outside all day. It felt like such a relief seeing them happy, not traumatized by the disease.

But then I realized, her daughter wasn’t the only one who needed this...

5: They kept my older mother protected for the whole day

After hearing what happened to my friend's daughter, I asked her if I could borrow a pack and try on my older mother.

Tick bites are no joke for her because of her thin skin.

So during summer, she often covers up with thick clothing when gardening.

Making her sweat and not being able to enjoy being outside.

But after trying them out for the first time, my mother called me, thanking me for the tip.

She was relieved not to have to constantly check her legs for ticks or cover up with long, hot clothes.

And since the natural oils are in the stickers, they are effective for 24 hours. So she’s able to work in her garden for the whole day.

I was relieved, too, because tick bites are no joke, especially with new diseases going around.

And after hearing the news last night, I realized the risks are only getting worse...

6: Tick season will be so bad that vaccines can't keep up

Studies show that the tick population has increased tenfold in the past decades.

And it’s growing at an exponential rate.

They’re spreading new diseases, making it harder to fight with regular methods.

Even though vaccines help, new imported diseases are rising so fast that vaccines can’t fully keep up.

Hearing this, I knew I had to act quickly.

So, I asked my friend for the link to the website where you could buy these stickers.

If I hadn’t acted fast, I would have had to choose between checking for tick bites or risking a new, even worse disease.

And with the new tick-borne diseases on the rise, it felt like an easy choice.

6: Tick season will be so bad that vaccines can't keep up

Tip: They even had a bite-free guarantee!

When I got the link, I was positively surprised that they had a 30-day risk-free trial.

So I ordered 5 packs for my family.

I knew they had worked on my friend's daughter and for my mother. But I was still not convinced.

So to test them, I placed a tick right on the sticker, and it immediately crawled away.

Looking back, I wish I’d bought even more from the start, because now I always keep extras on hand.

Plus, they even had a summer offer now during the worst tick season.

If you’re unsure, this is the perfect way to test them out risk-free. If they don't work for you, you can just return them and get every penny back.

But knowing how dangerous ticks are, this is the safest way.

Questions from the readers

How many stickers do I need for effective protection?

I use about 2-3 stickers for my kids and 3-4 for myself. I place them on their arms, pant legs, and sometimes their ankles.

For a whole summer, I’d say you’ll need about 3-4 packs for each person in the family. I like to stock up with 3 packs per person, just to be safe.

With 4 stickers per person, each trip, it keeps everyone covered!

Are these safe for young children?

Yes, I’ve used them for my kids, and I feel comfortable knowing they’re safe.

I even use them for my little one, who's over 6 months. However, for my kids with sensitive skin, I always place the stickers on their clothes instead of directly on their skin, just to be extra cautious. They still work just as well that way.

How long does each sticker last?

I found that each sticker is most effective around 6-8 hours, which is perfect for a day of playing outside.

If we’re out for longer, I’ll change them after 6-8 hours to make sure they’re still doing their job. But they can actually last up to 24 hours, which is much longer than sprays that have to be constantly reapplied!

Do they work against mosquitoes, too?

Yes! I was actually relieved to learn that they work for mosquitoes as well.

My older mother uses them in her garden, and I’ve used them during trips to the park. The same oils that protect us from mosquitoes also work to keep ticks away.

How long will sealed stickers last?

Once you seal the unused stickers in the ziplock bag, they last up to 24 months.

I usually keep them in the bag, and they stay fresh and ready to go. It’s nice knowing I can stock up, especially for future summers, without worrying about them going bad.

How do they work?

These stickers use natural oils like citronella and mint to release scents that confuse and repel ticks.

They mask the body signals, like carbon dioxide and body heat, that ticks are drawn to. I love that it’s a natural solution, and it works great.

I’ve noticed my kids don’t get nearly as many bites, even when we’re in a tick-heavy areas.
